This project involves the conversion of the Woodward Loop into two separate thoroughfares, opening the barrier that has separated downtown Pontiac from local neighborhoods and opening up business traffic to downtown.  The northbound one-way Woodward Loop will become the two-way Chief Pontiac Boulevard. A four-lane roadway complete with park-lined bike paths.  The southbound one-way Woodward Loop will become the two-way Woodward Avenue.  This four-lane boulevard will provide easier access to downtown Pontiac and easier access to the bus/train station.
